Case Study:
Brake Ace Test Camp
Victorise collaborated with Brake Ace, the leading braking analytics company, to host an exclusive test camp designed to redefine how elite mountain bikers optimize their performance. This groundbreaking event brought together cutting-edge technology, top-tier athletes, and data-driven insights to push the boundaries of what’s possible on two wheels.

The Challenge

In today’s fiercely competitive mountain biking scene, mastering every detail of performance is essential. Braking efficiency, often overlooked, can be a major differentiator. The challenge was to help riders uncover hidden opportunities for progression by providing actionable insights through advanced technology and expert analysis.

Our Approach

At the Luiseno Bike Park, Southern California’s premier mountain biking venue, Victorise and Brake Ace partnered with a diverse group of elite riders, including some of the fastest names in the U.S. Together, we worked to:

1. Capture Precision Data Using the Brake Ace wireless sensors, riders logged detailed metrics, including braking force, deceleration, GPS positioning, and brake temperatures.

2. Guide Setup and Usage We ensured all riders, whether seasoned pros or first-time users, had the tools and knowledge to fully leverage Brake Ace technology.

3. Analyze and Interpret Insights Through on-site coaching and Brake Ace’s intuitive software, we helped racers uncover inefficiencies in their braking and identify opportunities for faster, smoother runs.

4. Integrate Victorise Technology To enhance insights, we developed custom software that overlays telemetry data—including Brake Ace metrics—onto GoPro footage, enabling riders to dissect and strategize their performance down to the millisecond.

The Athletes

The camp featured an impressive lineup of top-tier athletes, including:

- Austin Dooley: U.S. downhill racing sensation
- Abby Ronca: dominating the East Coast MTB scene
- Dante Silva: known for speed and style
- Tyler Ervin: California-raised Euro racer making waves internationally
- Nik Nestoroff: '24 Big Mountain Enduro champion
- Kaley Skelton: one of the fastest female in the US
- Kai Burleson: an upcoming sensation
- Tanner Stevens, and more.

These riders, representing a mix of seasoned pros and rising stars, worked collaboratively to explore the potential of Brake Ace technology.
